A small selection of “finds” from the last few weeks of PAT testing. We don’t just check “portable” appliances, we check movable and hard wired (fixed) appliances too. We have replaced plug tops, flexes, outlets and sockets as part of our “PAT” test offering, and not to forget countless fuses changed for appropriate ratings.

We also carry a range of adaptors (110, 230Vac 16 & 32A along with 415Vac 3phase 4 and 5 pin) to allow us to test industrial and construction appliances.

Meet Craig – Local Experience You Can Trust

At Hamnavoe Technical Services, you’ll be dealing directly with me — Craig Towers.

I’m a Survey Engineer with 20 years of industry experience. After living and working in Aberdeen for the majority of that 20 years, I returned home to Orkney in 2024 with my wife and our three children.

It’s great to be back and I’m proud to now support local businesses, landlords and organisations across the county.

What I offer:

City and Guilds certified, experienced and insured; supporting landlords, offices, workshops, holiday lets and commercial premises to stay safe and compliant.

Delivered with a practical, hands-on approach built on years of real industry experience. Having worked both onshore and offshore I have a well rounded knowledge of industry standard survey equipment and processes.

We are booked up for the rest of the week, but have good availability for next week if you are in need of last minute testing.
