As September draws to a close, the season is shifting. The central heating will be back on within weeks, and that is the moment hardwood floors need a little thought.

If you have existing hardwood floors, now is the time to:
— Check the finish condition in high-traffic areas
— Add or replace felt pads under furniture
— Inspect thresholds and transitions for any movement

If you are planning a new floor installation, October and November are excellent months. The indoor climate is ideal for acclimatisation and installation.
