Just to respond to another inaccurate post on another FB group…

The building is awaiting its EWS1 certificate along with 673 buildings in the UK. It is still very legal to rent a flat in Latitude 52, and you are not breaking the law by living here!

Your insurance will not be invalid, and the building is still insured. If you have contents insurance then it may be worth checking with your insurer about the EWS1.

Unlike many of the other 673, we are fortunate enough to have received the funding from the government and our first down payment is due in the next few weeks.

Just to comment on the buildings pet policy that was incorrectly quoted on another page…

Pets are not allowed in the building.
Cats are sometimes allowed if your landlord agrees, or if you own the property. Even then you are required to purchase a license from the freeholder to verify the lease to allow this.
The freeholder will not issue a license for dogs and never will do, as there is potential to cause a nuisance to other residents.
Dogs are not permitted in the building whatsoever, except guide dogs.
This applies to companion dogs, dogs visiting and dogs ‘belonging to a carer’.
Please respect this policy, as repeat offenders will have action taken against them or their landlord and their tenancy agreements terminated.

EWS1: With regret, the survey was due to start yesterday, however on the day before they advised us that they can no longer do the survey as their insurer was no longer willing to underwrite the certificate.
We have now put the job out to tender again, and have already have a favorable quote that we have accepted.
We are waiting for them to get back to us with a start date.
This just demonstrates how complicated and bizarre the EWS1 form is.
Will update you when we know more.

The water supply issue has been resolved - it was a blocked incoming main, which has now been cleared. Water should all be flowing at its normal rate / pressure.

Dear owners, we have now instructed the company to carry out the first stage of the EWS1 form. This is just the survey, but it will give us an indication of what needs to be done in order to achieve a pass.

Our awesome new chemical building cleanse was completed today. It looks like new!
