Winter is *nearly over. It’s still very cold but we’re seeing some brighter days like today.

It’s easy not seeing your neighbours for months on end in the northern hemisphere! Check in this week with a call, text or visit to someone you know who’s perhaps alone.

I have a friend who has a 'winter home' and an 'all other seasons home'. It is the same property.

The first time I saw the difference, was one winter when I visited for dinner. As I walked into the sitting room for pre dinner drinks, the candles and soft lighting created the perfect ambiance.

Nothing felt new, yet everything had changed. The furniture was rearranged, with pieces from their travels that had once been stored elsewhere now becoming part of the sitting room. Even the hallway table had a fresh look—it had been beautifully upcycled!

Give it a go! (I began by adding plants in different sizes around the house, and it already feels like a change!)
