“We loved our stay, such a beautiful cottage in such a picturesque area, surrounded by great walks and a local dog friendly pub serving great food. The views from the cottage were amazing, and the cottage itself was cosy, clean and very welcoming, great communication from the host too, thank you very much! Due to a cancellation, we have some last minute availability over the coming weeks..

No. 4 Swallowholm is now available for booking from Sunday 28th July until Sunday 18th August.
It is very rare that we have availability during the summer holidays, so if you fancy a last minute get away - just pop us a message!

The cottage is dog friendly and is only a short, scenic, 4-mile drive into the popular village of Reeth with character buildings, proper Yorkshire pubs serving great food, the Burgoyne Hotel with restaurant and bar, cafes, ice cream parlour, gift shops, art centre, museum and post office for essentials.

There are numerous petting farms around as well as Lightwater Valley, The Forbidden Corner, High Force and Mother Shipton’s Cave all being within an hours drive.

Arkengarthdale is beautiful in all seasons but there really is nothing better than getting all wrapped up for a wintery walk in the dales before warming up in front of the fire (usually via a pit stop to 🔥)

“We loved our stay at Swallowholm – the photos don’t do justice to how lovely the view was. The house was really comfortable and homely – there was books and toys for children, and balls for our dog! Would stay there again!”

“Just returned from a lush weekend away at No.4 Swallowholm, such a lovely place, peaceful and picturesque. The cottage was amazing, fab size, cosy and looks out on to the most amazing view ever. Would defo recommend this to anyone wanting a weekend away. There’s a pub within walking distance and Reeth, Richmond and the Forbidden Corner are only a short drive away. By far my favourite bit was sitting on Shane’s bench looking out, where an amazing woman once sat taking in the exact same views. Thanks for having us ❤️”
