What we don't have...

No traffic jams.

No crowded commuter trains.

No rush-hour queues.

No endless noise.

And honestly, we're quite happy about that.

One of the things we love most about Seaton is how much life revolves around the water.

The Axe Estuary, the wetlands, the tramway, sailing, paddleboarding, birdwatching and, of course, the mile-long beach all help create a gentler pace of life.

Add in thriving tennis, cricket and football clubs, good schools, beautiful countryside and a strong sense of community, and it's easy to see why so many people choose to stay.

Life here feels just that little bit different.

A little slower.

A little friendlier.

And a lot closer to nature. 🌊

Easy weekend mornings ☀️

One of the things we love most about Seascape is how simple weekends can be.

A coffee in the garden. A walk with the dog. A cycle through the quiet lanes. A wander along the coast to take in the views.

No rushing. No traffic. No packed schedules.

Just fresh sea air, rolling countryside and the freedom to spend the day however you choose.

Whether it's exploring the Jurassic Coast, discovering hidden footpaths or simply finding a quiet spot to sit and enjoy the view, some of the best moments here are often the simplest.

And that's exactly what makes this corner of East Devon so special.

One of East Devon's hidden gems... ⛏️

Just beyond Seascape lies the beautiful fishing village of Beer, home to the remarkable Beer Quarry Caves.

For centuries, Beer Stone was quarried here and used in some of England's most famous buildings, including Exeter Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. Today, visitors can explore the vast underground caverns and discover a fascinating part of Devon's history.

And Beer itself is well worth a visit.

Follow the South West Coast Path from Seascape along the Jurassic Coast, taking in spectacular sea views before arriving in this charming village, with its independent shops, cafés, pubs and beautiful beach. From here you can watch the fishing boats, enjoy lunch by the sea or even take a boat trip along the coastline.

It's one of our favourite days out from Seascape — and another reminder that some of the best places are right on the doorstep.

🌊🥾⛏️

Five of our favourite things about life here in East Devon 🌿

When people ask what makes this corner of the Jurassic Coast so special, it's never just one thing.

1️⃣ The Jurassic Coast itself
Miles of spectacular coastline, hidden coves, coastal walks and some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

2️⃣ The Seaton Tramway & Wetlands
A unique way to explore the Axe Valley nature reserve, with stunning views and wildlife right on the doorstep.

3️⃣ Axmouth Harbour
One of those peaceful little spots that never seems to lose its charm. Perfect for a morning coffee, an evening stroll or simply watching the boats come and go.

4️⃣ Seaton Beach
Still one of East Devon's best-kept secrets. A long pebble beach, wide open sea views and plenty of space to enjoy the coast without the crowds.

5️⃣ The Local Pubs
Whether it's a drink overlooking the harbour, a traditional village pub or a Sunday lunch after a coastal walk, there are plenty of favourites within walking distance.

It's easy to forget how much is right on the doorstep until you stop and take it all in.

What would be your number one? 🌊

Just along the coast from Seascape, Lyme Regis is one of those places where maritime history isn't confined to museums — it's still very much part of everyday life.

From lifeboat ceremonies and sailing events to the dedicated RNLI volunteers who serve this stretch of coastline, the sea remains at the heart of the community.

And the best part? You don't even need the car.

From Seascape you can follow the South West Coast Path through the famous Undercliffs National Nature Reserve and along the Jurassic Coast to Lyme Regis, or simply hop on the regular bus service that connects the towns along the coast.

Whether you're exploring the harbour, watching the boats come and go, or enjoying a stroll along the Cobb, Lyme Regis is just one of the many reasons we love this corner of Devon.

Only in East Devon do you pop down to the beach and accidentally walk into a full pirate invasion…🏴‍☠️☀️

Red sails on the water, paddleboards drifting past, music on the beach and enough rum-themed enthusiasm to sink a small ship.

One of the best things about Seascape is that weekends like this are right on the doorstep.

Not just beautiful scenery — proper atmosphere, community and fun.

Some weekends just remind you why living here is so special ☀️

Morning coffee with the sea in the distance… long walks through the woods… an afternoon down on the coast… and a glass of something cold as the sun drops behind the hills 🍷

Life at Seascape has never really been about rushing anywhere.

It’s the kind of place that quietly slows everything down.

Ssshhhh don't tell everyone! One of the best things about Seascape is what lies just beyond our front door 🌊

We are lucky enough to be right on the Jurassic Coast with Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe and Lyme Regis all nearby. Axmouth Harbour for an evening stroll and along the esplanade maybe — this part of East Devon really is something special.

Coastal walks, hidden coves, sea air and sunsets…😎
