We spent the day exploring Sheffield, and it’s safe to say this city has completely won us over since we have moved to South Yorkshire 💛

From its vibrant streets to its green spaces, there’s something special around every corner 🌿✨ Since setting up our first short term rental property here, Sheffield has quickly become a place we love coming back to — full of character, creativity, and a real sense of community 🏙️

Swapped the gym for a “power walk” today… also known as a leisurely wander with through Hatfield Nature Reserve 🌿😄

One of the underrated perks of working for yourself: you can schedule “important business meetings” that just happen to involve trees, ducks, and a strong coffee afterwards ☕️

Work-life balance? Nailed it. Gym membership? Still judging me.

On 26th February, we had the pleasure of attending the Doncaster Business Showcase at Doncaster Racecourse – and what a fantastic day it was! 🎉 With around 2,500 visitors and more than 250 exhibitors, the event brought together businesses from across the region to connect 🤝 From start-ups to established companies, there was plenty of innovation on show and lots of great conversations happening throughout the day 💬

Naturally, no networking event would be complete without a few cups of coffee ☕, a handful of new contacts 📇, and the classic juggling act of brochures, tote bags and handshakes all at the same time 😅. A big thank you to the organisers for putting together such a well-run and enjoyable event 👏

Events like this really highlight how strong and vibrant the local business community is. If the buzz at this year’s showcase is anything to go by, the Doncaster economy is definitely heading in the right direction 🌟📊🚀

March has officially started so is it a tad bit late to do a 2025 recap? Well as the saying goes "better late than never"!😁

The year 2025 really said “plot twist”. We packed up our London life and headed north to Doncaster with a dream to set up a short term rental business. We somehow managed to move homes not once but TWICE—because clearly we enjoy cardio in the form of stairs and sofas. 😅

In between living out of boxes, we launched not one, not two, but THREE short-term rentals. All credit goes to my husband Anil, as I was still working and commuting down to London on a weekly basis!🥹

By the end of the year we weren’t sure where we officially lived, but we did know the WiFi passwords to three separate houses—so honestly, that’s growth. Cheers to 2025: the year of bubble wrap, big risks, and becoming accidental experts in flat-pack furniture. 🙈
