Finally! After five long months, the downstairs toilet has officially transformed into a brand-new shower room and loo.

Hands down the most challenging little project I’ve ever taken on but I kept the vision in mind, pushed through every hiccup, and today… it’s DONE.

Feeling ridiculously proud of this one!

My one rule when designing the downstairs bathroom? Make it feel like a European hotel.

The star of the show is the marble sink from Lusso — absolute chef’s kiss. The brassware is from Australian brand ABI Interiors, from their Kingsley range, and it’s every bit as beautiful in person as it looked in my head.

The panelling behind the mirror and around the toilet ties it all back to the detailing we’ve used throughout the house, so it feels like it truly belongs.

I’m honestly obsessed with how it’s turned out. ✨

A new Cloakroom toilet with a shower is in progress… this has been THE most challenging project ever in all the Reno’s I have done!!
The smallest room in the house is proving rather challenging!!
The journey so far… for months I said to Keith I can smell a smell in the downstairs toilet, nah he said I cannot smell it! Turns out I was right there was a smell, rats had been living there previously living under the floors and the plumber who lifted the floor saw the droppings once he lifted the floor boards! The pest guy was booked in a flash and found they were no longer to be living under there. He found out where they had come in previously, from the old drain in the garage and blocked the main sewer pipe with a b**g so they could never come back in!! 🤬🤢 Next we had to move all the electrics under the toilet, upgrade the electrics with a new fuse board and move the water and heating pipes in the toilet to the garage wall on the other side!! We are now after 5 weeks ready to start the Reno!!! I am so bloody excited, as I will not have to go upstairs to go a wee!! 🤣

We went to the beautiful village of for a lovely evening meal at the Legend has it that The George and Dragon is where Guy Fawkes hatched his infamous Gunpowder Plot and was later captured after fleeing London when it failed.
So many historic properties in this village, well worth a visit.
