I can't believe this is still empty! 🤔

As most of you know, we're passionate about Ruskington and would love to see our high street thriving.

This property has been available for quite a while now, and I'm genuinely surprised. From what I can see, it has a two-bedroom flat upstairs, an annex that could suit a small business, and the main retail space.

I often hear people say they don't want another hairdresser, barber, charity shop or v**e shop... 😄

So here's my question...

What business would you genuinely use on a regular basis if it opened in Ruskington?

FYI, I'm not connected to the property in any way, I'm just interested to hear what people think would make our high street even better and maybe someone will do it!

This week our team went above and beyond to get the job done right. 💚

One thing we've learned is that every job is different. Some look straightforward but take hours, while others come together much faster than expected.

That's exactly why we fixed-price the job, not the clock. Once we've agreed the price, that's what you pay. No surprises, no watching the clock, just a team that's committed to getting the job done properly.

Yesterday didn't quite go to plan...

A large three-day job was cancelled at the very last minute. There was no warning, no conversation beforehand, just a last-minute cancellation.

It's disappointing, especially as a new local business, but it's also part of running a business. You learn, you adapt, and you keep moving forward.

Rather than stand the team down, we managed to find work at short notice so everyone could still earn a wage this week. That's something I'm really proud of.

Starting a business isn't always about the success stories. Behind the scenes there are setbacks, lessons, unexpected costs and days where you have to think on your feet. Every challenge teaches us something, and every week we're becoming a stronger business because of it.

Today it's back to doing what we do best. 💚

What a weekend for Ruskington! ⚽💚

These lads did themselves, their families and the village proud this weekend, battling all the way to the Champions League final at our home Ruskington Lions Junior Football Club tournament.

A huge well done to every player, coach, volunteer and supporter. In scorching temperatures it couldn’t have been easy, but the effort, teamwork and sportsmanship on show were brilliant to see.

Days like this are what make living in a village like Ruskington so special.

🌟 Champions League Runners-Up U8🌟

The team played some brilliant football throughout the tournament, coming up against some very strong opposition and giving absolutely everything in some incredibly hot conditions. Their effort, teamwork and determination were outstanding from the first whistle to the last.

That hard work earned them a place in the Champions League Final, where they faced a talented NXT Gen side. It was a fantastic game of football between two evenly matched teams, with the Lions pushing all the way before narrowly finishing as runners-up.

As this was the final tournament as an U8 team, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on just how far these players have come over the last 12 months. The progress they’ve made, both individually and as a team, has been incredible, and everyone associated with the club is immensely proud of them.

A huge thank you to all of the parents for your fantastic support throughout the season. Your encouragement from the sidelines has played a huge part in this team’s journey.

We can’t wait to see what next season brings as this talented group continues to grow 🦁❤️🖤⚽
