So…why ‘JoJo Jobs’? ‘Jojo’ has always been my family nickname and ‘Jobs’ because that’s what I do. If anyone recognises me, it’s because I worked in the St Agnes Cost Cutters and Post Office for a year. I left last August after a fairly devastating bout of COVID, I needed good quality recovery time.
In my new incarnation ‘Jojo Jobs’ I am a self-employed Handyman. My background from early 2000 to mid 2022 was in France where I built much of my own house and renovated a number of properties for ex-pats and foreign nationals.
Fast forward to 2025 and I am back doing what I love best. St Agnes has a lot of great tradespeople who, by all reputation, do great work. I’ve no wish to compete, but more complement. I look to pick up the jobs that either no-one wants to do, or maybe it’s just too small a job. Perhaps you have a collection of small jobs that have been ‘hanging around’.
What I don’t cover: electrical work, plumbing, taxi type work, roof work. All of these areas require either special training, insurance, or equipment. My insurance covers general ‘general handyman’ tasks. For example:
• General painting and repairs
• Putting together Ikea furniture, or similar
• Replacing some broken ceramic tiles
• Mending a patio that has a ‘rotten’ component
• Repairing a window sill to give it a few years extra life
I’ll add some posts and photos as examples of what I have done in the past., or am doing currently
Not only, but also……
A product of a Royal Navy family and the father of 3 girls, I also have a lot of useful ‘life-skills’. I can iron, cook, clean, pack a house for removal, help prepare for a family reunion if you’re short of time, to name but a few. I’m just at home doing this as I am with the handyman work.
In short, if you need a hand, of any kind, do contact me.
