An insulating basecoat applied today. To help with shrinkge, I added some h**p fibre and some locally sourced horse that I was kindly given by Newfields riding school. Thank you!

I think it's mesmerising watching quicklime slake into beautiful putty.
This will be added to a perlite insulation mix.

Well, plastering is on hold today while I assist with my fellow SSART volunteers.

Call Out: High-Risk Missing Person – Burton upon Trent

This morning, Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART) have been deployed to the Burton upon Trent area to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person.

Our specially trained volunteer search teams are currently mobilising and making their way to the area, working in support of Staffordshire Police as part of the ongoing search operation. We will be joined by Skye the Search Dog, Search Dog Tali and Derby Mountain Rescue Team

SSART is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to assist the emergency services in life-saving situations. We are a registered charity and receive no government funding, relying solely on the generosity of public donations to remain operational.
