***Cancelled Quiz night for this Saturday***

Unfortunately we have not had enough interest in the quiz night to make it feasible to happen this week. We will look to run it again next year. The Bedford Hall committee is run by volunteers who all have other commitments and sometimes things don't get advertised soon enough or well enough and this is not aimed at anyone and just a shame that it hasn't been possible. As a committee we will work on our marketing and event strategy and try to do better in 2026. Thank you to those that support us and we have contacted the few teams that had booked and we are sorry to let you all down. Thanks again.

It is that time of year again - our successful festive fun Christmas themed Quiz. 🎅🏼🎄🤶🏼🦌
It is taking place on Saturday 22nd November at 7pm.

£10 for teams up to 4 people.
Licenced bar 🍻🥂🥃
Prize raffle 🎁
Bring your own snacks 🍿🍫🍪🍬

Christmas attire is not essential but is encouraged so dig out those Christmas jumpers/outfits/headwear!

To book your team, please either message the page on Facebook or contact Mark on 07757 762444 (text or leave a message if not answered).

We are just a week away from this event. So far we have 2 teams booked so please get in contact if you want to come along. If we don't get to at least 6 teams by Thursday, we will contact people and sadly need to postpone.

Please continue to support your local village hall by attending these events. Please book your teams in advance so that we have an idea of how many people are attending. We need at least 6 teams to book for the event to be able to go ahead.

Another fantastic job from Andy Stuffins! We’ve long been concerned about the unseen drop from the car park to the grass. This fence will help keep vehicles and pedestrians safe when using the car park. And it looks great too!

Quick reminder that tonight is the Bedford Hall Management Committee (Thorney Village Hall) AGM.

Anyone from the local community is welcome to attend, and in particular any local residents or representatives of community groups who may consider joining the committee.

We have a number of vacancies and would love to have input from anyone who can spare a couple of hours per month to contribute to our evening committee meetings.

The Bedford Hall Management Committee would like to inform the community that we are holding our Annual General Meeting on Monday 29th September at 7:30pm.
It would be great to have representatives from Community groups attend the meeting or anyone who may be interested in joining the committee.

Huge thanks to Andy Stuffins and Nigel Pask for the installation of our new bollards outside the parish room. This is a major step in helping us to improve the car park facility, keep pedestrians safe and keep roads and pathways clear. Thanks Andy & Nigel!

The Bedford Hall Management Committee are looking to recruit new casual bar staff to support the running of the bar at the Bedford Hall on a part time basis. Perfect part time job for people who live in the village or surrounding villages/towns.🍺🍾🍸

* Must be flexible to fit around bookings
*The bar service is only required for events or private functions (mostly over weekends)
