"More important than a Will”?
You may have seen the recent article in The Independent featuring Martin Lewis, highlighting the importance of Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).

While making a Will is incredibly important, an LPA can be just as valuable. It allows you to choose someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if, in the future, you are unable to do so yourself.
There are two types of LPA:
🏡 Property & Financial Affairs – covering things such as your finances, property and bills.
❤️ Health & Welfare – covering decisions about your care and treatment.
An LPA isn’t just something to think about when you’re older. Putting one in place while you have the mental capacity to do so means you can choose who you would want to help you, rather than leaving your family to face what can be a much more complicated and expensive process later.
If you have a Will but don’t have LPAs in place, it may be worth reviewing your arrangements.
At Clowes & Co Solicitors, we can help you understand what is involved and put the right arrangements in place for you and your family.

The article is well worth a read if you’re unsure whether an LPA is something you need.
