Perhaps it’s not what you first think of but having fun throughout your recovery process is actually an incredibly important part of making lasting sobriety possible. At FSL we approach recovery with community, education, connection and fun at every step.
Having fun and engaging in enjoyable activities is an important aspect of recovery from substance abuse. Engaging in leisure activities and finding joy in life can improve overall well-being, reduce stress, and improve outcomes for mental health disorders.

Mental Health Awareness Week brings together millions of people from all kinds of backgrounds to focus on good mental health for all.
FSL kicked off Mental Health Awareness month with a Walk for Recovery over the weekend. Rain or shine we're all smiles showing up for an important mission.

Mental Health Awareness Week 2023
Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK live with a mental illness. If that includes you, you are far, far from alone. On the theme of 'anxiety', this year's Mental Health Awareness Week is from 15 to 21 May. we aim to improve public understanding of anxiety and will be sharing advice on some of the things that can help prevent it from becoming a problem. We will also be using the week to keep up the demand for change - to make sure that improving mental health is a key priority for the government and our society.
