Let’s talk about contracts

Traditional estate agency contracts often tie sellers into lengthy notice periods that can work against their best interests. Long tie-ins and multi-week notice clauses reduce flexibility, leaving homeowners paying for a service they may feel isn’t delivering. In a slow-moving or poorly managed instruction, this can mean lost momentum, missed buyer opportunities, and unnecessary frustration. When performance drops, sellers should be able to act quickly—yet restrictive contracts can make changing agent expensive, time-consuming, or risky, putting the agency’s security ahead of the client’s outcome.
By contrast, an agency offering a zero‑week contract flips that balance back in favour of the seller. With no notice period, the agent earns the instruction every single day through results, communication, and service—not contractual obligation. This approach encourages urgency, accountability, and genuine commitment, as the agent knows the client stays because they want to, not because they’re locked in. A zero‑week contract gives homeowners freedom, confidence, and control, proving that the best estate agencies don’t need long notice periods to keep their clients—they rely on performance instead.
