Meet The Neighbours | Royal Mahal | Episode 1 ✨️

I sat down with Adil to chat about how Royal Mahal first began, where the name came from, his background and how this popular restaurant has grown into such a well-known part of the local community.

We also spoke about how they acquired one of Tooting's most well known venues, hosting events (for both locals and extremely large brands) and why creating a welcoming atmosphere has always been so important to them.

🐶 We came to film a gorgeous apartment... and completely fell for Cheddar! 😍

Mike was trying everything to get the perfect shot...

"Cheddar... Cheddar..." 👀
Nothing.

Then came the magic word...

"Treaties" 😂 🍖

Safe to say, Cheddar understood the assignment!

And don't worry...Cheddar received plenty of treaties for his hard work! 😄 🐾

🍦 Meet The Neighbours - Part 1: Jefferson's Ice Cream

I popped into Jefferson's in Balham (a favourite of mine) to sit down with husband & wife team Christopher & Celine and chat about how this brilliant local business came to life.

From the inspiration behind the concept to how they make their own ice cream and what being part of the local community means to them, it was great to hear the story behind one of Balham's sweetest spots.

Turns out Ice Cream University is a thing...as well as 'Scoop School'. Who knew?!☺️🤷🏾‍♂️

🧁 Meet The Neighbours | Next Door Baker by Kegarmo

I sat down with Karina (Baker & Founder) and Laura (Head Barista & Manager) - two brilliant personalities behind this fantastic addition to Furzedown.

From starting out with just a choice of 5 cakes at Maltby Street Market before creating 50+ cakes and pastries, it's been some journey- especially for someone who admits she hates cooking.....but absolutely LOVES baking! ☺️

With 4am starts, everything fresh and handmade, and a mission to make sure vegans have just as much choice as everyone else, the passion behind this place really comes through.

Another great local story - and definitely one worth checking out ☕️✨️
