Following wallpaper removal, additional preparation work may be required due to hidden defects becoming visible.

Any additional preparation beyond the original scope may incur extra charges.

4. Customer-Supplied Wallpaper

5. Inspection of Wallpaper

Wallpaper will be visually inspected prior to hanging where possible.

Once wallpaper has been hung, it is deemed accepted by the customer.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for defects in wallpaper that become apparent after installation.

6. Pattern Matching and Seams

Due to the nature of wallpaper products, slight variations in pattern alignment, joins, shading, or texture may occur and are not considered defects.

Some wallpapers may display visible seams or joins depending on the product and lighting conditions.

7. Natural Product Variations

Natural, textured, hand-printed, grasscloth, silk, metallic, and specialist wallpapers may contain inherent variations in colour, texture, shading, and finish.

These characteristics are considered normal and are not defects.

8. Wall Conditions

Wallpaper may highlight existing imperfections, uneven walls, previous repairs, surface defects, or poor plasterwork that were not visible before installation.

Colours may appear different depending on lighting, weather conditions, and surrounding surfaces.

Minor colour variations between batches and manufacturers are beyond our control.

6. Existing Cracks and Movement

Hairline cracks may be filled where practical; however, Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot guarantee that cracks will not reappear due to ongoing building movement, settlement, thermal expansion, or structural issues.

The reoccurrence of cracking does not constitute a defect in workmanship.

7. Damp and Water Ingress

Painting does not resolve underlying damp, water ingress, condensation, leaking gutters, defective pointing, render failure, structural defects, or other moisture-related issues.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services accepts no liability for paint failure, peeling, blistering, staining, or discolouration caused by existing or future moisture-related problems.

8. Access Equipment

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for any scaffolding, cherry pickers, access towers, or specialist access equipment required to complete the works safely.

Any items left within cupboards or drawers remain the responsibility of the customer.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for any damage to, or contamination of, items left inside units.

2. Door Removal and Spraying Method

Valley Prestige Decorating Services reserves the right to determine the most suitable spraying method for each kitchen.

Where a professional finish can be achieved with doors and drawer fronts left in place, they will not be removed.

Door and drawer removal will only be carried out where deemed necessary by Valley Prestige Decorating Services.

The spraying method used, including whether doors and drawer fronts are removed or sprayed in situ, is at the sole discretion of Valley Prestige Decorating Services and forms part of the service provided.

3. Internal Surfaces

Unless specifically agreed in writing, the interiors of cupboards, cabinets, and drawers are not included in the spraying service.

Drawer interiors will not be sprayed due to the likelihood of damage caused by cutlery, utensils, and everyday use.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for the condition or cleanliness of cupboard interiors that have not been emptied by the customer.

4. Existing Condition of Kitchen

The customer accepts that existing defects, damage, wear and tear, swelling, peeling finishes, loose vinyl wraps, warped doors, previous repairs, chips, scratches, dents, or manufacturing defects may remain visible after spraying.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for pre-existing issues that affect the final appearance of the kitchen.

5. Paint Curing Process

Although the finish will be dry to the touch upon completion, the paint coating can take up to 7 days, and in some cases longer depending on temperature and humidity, to fully cure and harden.

During this period, customers should avoid excessive handling, scrubbing, cleaning with chemicals, or placing adhesive items onto painted surfaces.

Care should be taken when opening and closing doors and drawers during the curing period.

6. Minor Touch-Ups

Due to the nature of kitchen units, hinges, and doors, minor rubbing, sticking, binding, or paint contact points may occur after completion or during the curing process.

This is considered normal and cannot always be prevented.

Minor touch-ups may be required where doors settle, stick, or bind following completion.

A small amount of matching paint will be left with the customer for future touch-ups where required.

7. Hinges, Alignment and Adjustments

Doors and drawers will be refitted and adjusted as accurately as possible.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for pre-existing alignment issues, worn hinges, warped doors, or movement within the kitchen units.

Further adjustments may be required after completion as doors and hinges settle back into place.

8. Colour Selection and Finish

Every effort will be made to achieve the chosen colour and finish.

Colours may appear different under varying lighting conditions.

Slight variations in colour and sheen level are a normal characteristic of painted finishes and do not constitute a defect.

Work areas should be kept free from unnecessary obstructions.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services cannot be held responsible for delays caused by restricted access or unsuitable working conditions.

Valley Prestige Decorating Services shall not be liable for damage caused by misuse, accidental impact, excessive heat, moisture, poor ventilation, flooding, structural movement, or failure to follow aftercare instructions.

Liability is limited to the value of the work undertaken.

13. Deposits and Cancellations

Any deposit paid is non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has been scheduled.

Cancellation of booked works may result in loss of deposit and recovery of any material costs already incurred.

A little update from Valley Prestige Decorating Services

Unfortunately, I’ve torn my ACL and will be in a leg brace for a while. This means any high-level work that requires ladder use or climbing will need to be postponed until I’m fully recovered.

The good news is that all indoor work and jobs that don’t require ladder access will still continue as normal, so I’m still very much available to keep your projects moving.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and really appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience while I recover.

Thanks for all the support — I’ll be back up those ladders as soon as possible 💪

I’ve been resting for a week after an ACL injury in both knees. Still not fully there yet, but the work must continue — time to play catch up 💪

So this is the job I completed this weekend 👇

These brown PVC windows were fully prepped and professionally sprayed to a fresh white satin finish, completely transforming the look of the property.

Proper preparation is everything when it comes to getting a flawless, long-lasting finish on PVC — clean, key, mask, and spray with the right products 👌

From tired brown frames to a clean modern white finish ✨

Back at it, one job at a time 🙌

When it comes to exterior masonry work, there’s only so much preparation that can be done.

The correct process is always to scrape back any loose or flaking paint to a solid edge, followed by sanding down the surface as much as possible before applying a new coat. This gives the best possible base for a long-lasting finish.

However, with older properties that have had years (or even decades) of paint build-up, it’s completely normal to still see slight dips, bumps, or uneven areas once painted.

These imperfections aren’t due to poor workmanship — they’re simply the result of multiple layers over time and the natural condition of the surface underneath.

Good preparation makes a huge difference, but it can’t always undo years of wear and build-up. Honest expectations are key with exterior masonry.
