For commercial sites, the key is balance. Selected banks, verges and quieter areas can often be left longer to support biodiversity, while entrances, footpaths, parking areas and access routes still need to remain safe, tidy and usable.

A greener approach can work really well - it just needs proper planning and clear communication.
