Small and horrible job to finish my week. The only plastering job I hate doing and never book in is doing chasing after a rewire, especially when most of the walls are either papered or heavy artex.
But it was for one of my landlords so I said yes otherwise it would have been a hard no. Lots of reasons but main one is there no real money in it for me it’s quicker and easier and more money to plaster a room in a day than the chase a house in. Anyway, it’s done lol this is just a few pictures but not all of them. And the expanding foam was the sparky.

Quick round up of the week, working in Huddersfield, this is a town house and the kitchen was on the second floor , the old kitchen has been converted into a bedroom and an ensuite, got held up a little by  other tradesmen, but it’s to be expected in this game all we can do is get our head down and carry on.  there was a lot of remedial work to do including three massive holes we still were inserted by the builder when he built the extension for the new kitchen downstairs but for some reason left the big holes for me to sort .  But it’s not a problem because we can deal with these things.  so if you’re in West Yorkshire and you Landlord or home owner and you’re thinking about getting some plastering done or some maintenance work done why don’t you give us a call and get a free quote with no obligation,

Been working away in Bridlington this week. Customer got in touch, wanting a chimney removing from the roof all the way down into the kitchen, then the kitchen re-plastered, they asked me to come and quote as the prices in Bridlington seemed very high, my price for all the work including scaffolding came in at just under half the cost, including me stopping there for 7 days.

So this week we have spent 3 days putting right lots of little jobs in a rental property for a landlord in Leeds that was struggling to find proper people to do a proper job, the roofer put new guttering up last month that leaks because he used screws to join it altogether, he was also meant to replace a rotten sub floor in a kitchen but couldn’t be bothered so he just barely over boarded it wit I’ll fitting OSB which he put zero effort into fitting, also damp work was done alone with plastering and it also failed what a surprise, and a leaking soil pipe that 3 different people had worked on to stop it leaking, but not one thought to just replace it?? So we put alll this right and also installed a new Damp Proof Course

So today another bad job by a handyman for a landlord in Darrington.
This porch was leaking.’, so a handyman came out pulled the trim off banged about for an hour or 2. Now a few months later the roof on the porch is falling apart, because he did nothing. He hadn’t even sealed the gaping holes he left in the trim. So we pulled it off, replaced the rotten timbers, treated it all with wood preserver by Ronseal. Then we replaced the horrible looking plastic trim that he tried to make around the Bodge job that he had created. Then we hack out the cement he used to re-bed the gable end with as it looks 20 years old but in fact was only a few months old but he completely used the wrong mix, so it was like powder and falling out.
