Just back from two incredible days at the eXp UK Conference in Birmingham and my head is absolutely full of ideas. 💡

From world-class speakers and inspiring agent stories to conversations with suppliers and friends from across the industry, there was one recurring theme throughout the event:

✨ People matter.

Not brands.
Not logos.
Not flashy marketing.

People.

Hearing stories from agents who have built successful businesses by simply being themselves, serving their communities and showing up consistently was incredibly refreshing.

There were discussions around AI, social media, wellbeing, self-employment, business growth and creating a business that works for your life rather than the other way around.

The biggest takeaway for me?

Stop waiting until everything is perfect.

Whether that’s creating content, trying something new, embracing technology or taking the next step in your business.

Just start.

I came home tired, inspired, grateful and excited for what’s ahead.

To everyone who spoke, shared their experiences and made the event possible, thank you. And to the amazing people I’ve met through this community, thank you for making this journey such an enjoyable one.

Last night I had the absolute privilege of joining Kate at Pinks in Kingsbury for her very first private event, Sip & Paint 🎨🎀

Seven lovely local women came together, all from different backgrounds, different careers and different walks of life, with one thing in common: a desire to support a small local business and spend an evening embracing our creativity.

Regardless of artistic ability, there were some outstanding interpretations of the brief and some beautiful use of colour. It was wonderful to see everyone put their own unique spin on the experience.

What really stood out was the care and attention Kate had put into every detail. From the personalised biscuits and ribbons attached to roses, to the thoughtfully curated drinks and nibbles menu, everything had been considered. It felt incredibly special from the moment we arrived.

By the end of the evening, something quite lovely had happened. We arrived as strangers and left having shared stories, laughter, creativity and new friendships.

To me, that’s what community is all about.

Local women. Local business. Shared experiences. New connections.

Kate, thank you for creating such a warm and welcoming space. Your passion shines through in everything you do, and it was a pleasure to support your first event. We are all cheering you on and looking forward to seeing what comes next for your business. 🎀💖

As an estate agent, we know our job is to keep going regardless of the weather, so on what has to be one of the hottest days of the year so far, I couldn’t help but stop for an ice cream 🍦

Not only am I supporting local, given the ice cream man lives on my street, but I was also doing something to temporarily help myself feel a little less cooked in this heat 😅

I was on my way to post some letters as part of my mail-out to local homeowners whose properties may currently be stuck on the market.
