We really did start in the 80s! 🎉

Burke Bros was established in 1982, so when we started seeing the recent trend of turning modern photographs into 1980s-style images, we couldn’t resist giving it a go!

From the fashion and hairstyles to the office equipment and technology, a lot has changed over the past four decades… but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to looking after our customers and their belongings.

These photos give us a fun glimpse at what the Burke Bros offices might have looked like back in the day. There is of course one of these photos that is a genuine 1980s image. Can you tell which one it is?!

🌍🏆We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist for International Trade Excellence at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

It’s a particularly special recognition for us, having previously been proud winners of 'Service Provider of the Year' and 'Family Business of the Year' at the Chamber’s awards.

To be recognised again, this time for our international trade, is a fantastic reflection of the hard work, dedication and ambition of our whole team and the relationships we’ve built with customers and partners around the world.

We’re proud to be named as a finalist and are looking forward to celebrating alongside all the other fantastic businesses shortlisted on the evening.

🎉A Very Happy Retirement to Ben!

After an incredible 33 years as our Sales Manager, today we celebrate Ben as he begins his well-deserved retirement.

Ben has been an absolutely integral part of the organisation and has played such an important role in shaping the company we are today. He is particularly well known for his expertise in removals to France and over the decades has represented Burke Bros at countless French Property Shows, helping generations of customers make their moves to France.

Ben's contribution goes far beyond his wealth of knowledge and experience. He has taught us all so much, shared his expertise and shaped the experiences and memories of every single of us who have had the pleasure of working alongside him.

He has been not only a colleague, but a friend to so many of us.
After 33 years, there are a lot of memories, stories and friendships to look back on and we are incredibly grateful for everything Ben has given to Burke Bros over the years.

We wish you the very happiest of retirements. You've more than earned it!
