This cosy, quaint little cottage is situated in a tiny village called Settrington which is 3 miles from the nearest town of Malton, North Yorkshire.
Malton is a traditional farming town with its own Morrisons supermarket, a local swimming pool, a wide range of tea shops and a train station that can take you directly into York or Scarborough within the hour.
The cottage itself is situated 20 miles between York and Scarborough in either direction and is surrounded by a wide range of activities for children to do including the famous Flamingo World and Piglet farm as well as the North Yorkshire Moors-a short drive away which allow for the most scenic drives and walks in England.
Willow cottage is set back a little way from the small beck that runs through the centre of the village and there is room to park on the banks outside the house.
The entrance to the cottage leads you straight into the spacious dining room. Stairs lead upstairs from this room and situated under the stairs is a large oak table that can seat up to 8 people for meals if required. The lounge is situated off from the dining room and has a sofa bed which can sleep 2 people. The lounge has 2 comfy sofas as well as a TV and free view.
The kitchen is also situated off from the dining room. There is further opportunities to eat in this room as it contains an oak table that can sit up to 4 people.
The kitchen itself looks out onto the large garden at the back of the property. It has an electric oven, separate fridge and freezer, microwave and oven. Off from the kitchen is the utility room. In here, there is an additional sink and washing machine and access to the back garden.
The back garden has 3 levels with a patio area suitable for BBQs in the summer.
You will also find a grassed area with an apple tree and a pear tree large enough for children to run around in if required. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms that look out onto the beck at the front of the house and a single bedroom that looks out onto the back garden. The bathroom is situated upstairs and has ample room for a bath and shower combination as well as a sink and WC.
The cottage is light and airy with many of the original features still evident including exposed beams. It has been lovingly decorated and cared for over the years and there is a warm homely feel as you enter.
