Weather in Poti

We get asked about the weather alot here in Poti.

The weather here is alot like we are used to living in the Western Cape cold rainy winter and sub- tropical sumers like Durban with warm beach water. Beaches is being upgraded with new promenades and promises a great expierience this coming sumer at Maltakva beach.
Winter time we get about 2 to 3 days of light snow not more than 5/10cm as Poti is not really a snow area and only had snow for the past 2 years prior to that it didnt snow for 5 years. Winters are cold but not as cold as it gets in other parts of the country that receives alot of snow like Kutaisi, Bojormi and Mestia. Tempratures doesnt go lower than about -7 degrees but average is about between 3 and 8 degrees.
Georgia gets about between 1700 to 1800m of rain every year and during summer in Poti it almost rains here every 3rd day mostly at night. But most days are nice and hot beach days with temps between 28 and sometimes 34 degrees with a pleasant breeze for the beach.

So there isnt much difference and the weather is for most parts pleasant with late sun sets at 21:15 in the sumer time makes for no excuse not to visit the live guarded beach every day🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖🏖
