TWO YEARS OF LEADERSHIP, TRIALS, AND DIVINE GRACE — ALHAMDULILLAH!
Today marks exactly two years since my turbaning at the palace of the Mossi Community of Ghana, under the leadership of Alhaji Masoud Koanda Naaba Wobgo II, the Moshie Chief of Ghana, where I was formally turbaned into my traditional leadership position as Pui Naaba.
Looking back on the journey since that historic occasion, all I can say is Alhamdulillah for everything!
The journey has not been without its challenges. Following the turbaning ceremony in Accra, certain individuals who accompanied us, together with some palace elders, later expressed opposition to the leadership positions conferred upon us at the Moshie Palace of Ghana. The disagreement eventually found its way into the courts, presenting us with another test of patience, resilience, and faith. Through it all, we have remained steadfast, trusting Allah to guide us and grant clarity in His own time.
Today, as I reflect on these two years, I am overwhelmed by the extraordinary love, kindness, and solidarity shown to me by people of great calibre, from Kumasi to beyond Ghana’s borders. The support I have received is a blessing I will never take for granted.
Throughout this journey, some stood firmly by their convictions, while others chose a different path. There were difficult moments and pressures, but I have learned that the pursuit of truth requires patience, courage, and unwavering faith in Allah.
ALHAMDULILLAH, THE RECORD OF THAT HISTORIC DAY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
Among the distinguished personalities captured in these videos are individuals who later took positions contrary to ours regarding the leadership roles conferred upon us. Their presence at the turbaning ceremony, alongside the events that followed, forms part of this chapter in our community’s history.
Let this serve as a firm reminder: no one should mistake silence for forgetfulness, patience for weakness, or the passage of time for the disappearance of facts. We do not need to engage in endless arguments or trade accusations. The videos speak for themselves, and future generations will have the opportunity to see the events as they unfolded and draw their own understanding.
I leave every matter in the hands of Almighty Allah, who knows the truth behind every action and intention. My commitment remains to uphold my responsibilities with dignity, patience, and faith, trusting that truth and justice will prevail in the appropriate time and manner.
Leadership is not merely about a title or a turban; it is about service, responsibility, patience, and remaining steadfast in the face of adversity.
As Allah reminds us in the Holy Qur’an:
“And Allah is predominant over His affair, but most of the people do not know.
Two years later, my heart remains filled with gratitude to Almighty Allah, the Moshie community, and everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. My prayer is that Allah continues to guide our steps, strengthen our unity, preserve our traditional institutions, and grant our community lasting peace and progress.
Alhamdulillah for the honour, the lessons, the support, and even the trials. Two years have passed, and by Allah’s grace, the journey continues.
May Allah keep us steadfast upon the truth and bless our community with unity, wisdom, and peace. Ameen.🙏
