A VISIT TO MAFI DUGAME–KPODOAVE
The cultural tour further extended to Mafi Dugame–Kpodoave, where the delegation was warmly received by the chiefs, elders, and people of the area. This engagement provided an intimate opportunity to interact directly with traditional leadership and the wider community, reinforcing the central role of chieftaincy, unity, and collective responsibility in Mafi society.
During the visit, meaningful conversations were held with the chiefs, focusing on history, customary governance, and the values that continue to guide the community. The people of Dugame–Kpodoave showcased their hospitality, cultural pride, and strong sense of identity, offering insights into daily life, traditions, and communal bonds that have endured over generations.
This encounter added a human and relational dimension to the documentary, highlighting the living traditions of the Mafi people and the importance of dialogue between cultures. It underscored the respect accorded to traditional authority and the shared vision of preserving heritage while embracing collaboration and mutual understanding across borders.
