Η προνομιούχα γεωγραφική θέση της Θάσου, στο σταυροδρόμι σημαντικών εμπορικών δρόμων και η εκμετάλλευση των χρυσοφόρων κοιτασμάτων της Θρακικής ενδοχώρας, της εξασφάλισαν #πλούσιες προσόδους. Από την αρχή του 4ου αι. π.Χ. λαμπρά δημόσια κτίσματα οικοδομούνται και το Θασιακό κρασί εξάγεται σε όλη την Ανατολική Μεσόγειο. Στις 26 Ιουλίου, μετά από 14 χρόνια σιωπής, το μνημείο υποδέχτηκε θεατές φιλοξενώντας την παράσταση "Θραύσματα: Ευριπίδης", του Εθνικό Θέατρο / National Theatre of Greece, εποπτευόμενου φορέα του Υπουργείο Πολιτισμού. Το φημισμένο λευκό μάρμαρο της Θάσου ανέδειξε και πάλι τις γραμμές του θεάτρου, σε ένα τοπίο όπου φύση και ιστορία συνυπάρχουν αρμονικά. Η παράσταση έγινε στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος "Γνωριμία με τα Αρχαία Θέατρα της Ελλάδας" που υλοποιείται σε συνεργασία με το Diazoma. #διάζωμα #συνέργειες #πολιτισμός
The privileged location of Thassos, at the crossroads of important trade routes and the exploitation of the gold deposits of the Thracian hinterland, ensured incomes for the island. From the beginning of the 4th c. B.C. splendid public buildings are built and the Thasian wine is exported throughout the Eastern Mediterranean. On July 26, after 14 years of silence, the monument welcomed spectators hosting the performance "Fragments: Euripides", by the National Theater of Greece. The famous white marble of Thassos once again highlighted the lines of the theater, within a landscape where nature and history coexist harmoniously. The performance took place as part of the programme "Getting to Know the Ancient Theaters of Greece" implemented in collaboration with Diazoma.
