A celebration like no other — colorful, soulful, and deeply local.
This year, Melitzazz shines a spotlight on the “Tzoumpelou” — the proud Tsakonian woman, guardian of heritage and symbol of strength.
And of course, no Melitzazz is complete without honoring Leonidio’s culinary icon — the sweet Tsakonian aubergine (melitzána). From heirloom recipes to creative fusions, this purple treasure stars in every kitchen and on every table.
From open-air concerts and embroidery workshops to dancing in the streets and storytelling from the mountains, the festival is a living mosaic of Tsakonian life.
