Another full exterior clean completed ✅

Big car port job completed before Christmas ✅

One of the bigger builds I got done before Christmas – a large, solid car port, built to last and give proper cover.
A lot of work went into this one from start to finish, but delighted with how it turned out.

Thanks again to everyone who’s trusted me with jobs this year. I don’t be on here much and it can be hard keeping up with messages and work, but I do genuinely appreciate every single job that comes my way. I always try my best to get out to as many as I can.

I’ll post a few more jobs over the next while.

Just want to say a big thank you to everyone who got me out to do work over the past year 🙏
I’m not on here as much as I should be, and I’ll be honest, it can be hard keeping up with everything… messages, calls, jobs, quotes — but I really do appreciate every single one.

I always try my best to get out to as many people as I can. Sometimes the workload can be a bit overwhelming, but I’m grateful for it all and thankful for the patience shown.

2026, let’s aim for another successful year 💪
Looking forward to helping more of you upgrade your homes, no matter how big or small the job is.

We’ve done a lot of roof repairs over the years, and at the start we were probably far too cheap. That’s why we’ve now and for a good while (last year or so) had to set a minimum charge for any roof job regardless what it is. If we go on the roof or have to assess the roof there’s a minimum charge.

Some people might not be happy about that, and be like sure it’s only one tile. Or if I’d ladders I would try it myself. Or it will only take you 5mins — would you risk your life climbing onto a two-storey roof? Every time we go up, it involves ladders, roof ladders, harnesses, and a serious risk to life. Most people wouldn’t even step on a roof anymore; they’d get a cherry picker, and that alone costs more than our call-out fee.

By the time we cover diesel, wages, liability insurance, and take on the risk factor alone, it’s just not worth doing it any cheaper. We’re not trying to be dear — we’re just trying to be fair and safe.

At the end of the day, a minimum charge is the only way to do the job right and make sure everything is covered properly.

🔨 A Quick Update from Call Me The Handyman 🔨

It’s been flat out lately, and to be honest, it’s very hard to keep up with everything. I know at times I might have let people down, and I’m genuinely sorry for that.

The truth is, the two main things I focus on are:
✅ Roof leaks & roofing repairs – especially this time of year, when the rain shows every weak spot. This is my top priority.
✅ Carpentry – panelling, repairs, and all types of woodwork jobs.

I still do plenty of other handyman work, but roof leaks come first, simply because they can cause big problems fast.
