1953 and still turning heads.

While the world continues to move towards modern, sleek, and mass-produced, we’re still holding on to something a little different.

Recently, we picked up this beautiful 1953 Ford F100. Not because it’s the fastest, most practical, or most modern thing on the road, but because it represents something we genuinely admire — traditional craftsmanship, character, and quality that stands the test of time.

At OHPM, that’s exactly how we approach our work. We love traditional timber framing, honest materials, and building structures that not only look incredible today but will still be admired for generations to come.

Sometimes the old ways are worth holding on to.

🔨 A recent project we’re proud to share! 🔨

We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, but for good reason — we’ve been flat out on site bringing some fantastic projects to life.

One of our latest completions is this stunning 9.6m x 5.5m garden room, gym space, and outdoor storage area in Co. Leitrim. Designed to make the most of the available space, this bespoke timber structure is both practical and visually striking.

Another fantastic project taking shape here at OHPM.

We have been extremely busy lately working on some large projects, and this one is definitely up there as one of our favourites. Not only is it slightly different from our usual designs with the additional entrance posts and knee braces — which we think look fantastic — but the beautiful cedar ceilings paired with the Douglas fir frame and sleek glass enclosures really bring the whole space to life.

The combination of natural timber finishes and modern detailing creates a stunning outdoor area that can be enjoyed all year round.

Another one nearly ticked off the bucket list ✅

I’ve wanted to build one of these garden rooms for a long time, so when we got the chance to be part of this fantastic project we were delighted to get stuck in 👌

There’s still a few finishing touches to come over the next few weeks, and we can’t wait to show ye the final result 🔨✨

This week, we were here in Co. Cavan building this stunning 7.2m x 4.8m Douglas fir framed gazebo. Its elevated site really helps to take in the fantastic picturesque surroundings, creating the perfect outdoor space to relax and enjoy the view.

It’s been a BIG week in every sense of the word 💪🌲

We recently completed this massive 12m × 6m carport with a 3m height to the eaves, featuring a stunning curved hammer beam truss design. A real statement piece that not only showcases the craftsmanship involved, but also sits effortlessly into its surroundings with beautiful views across the countryside.

Projects like this don’t come around every day, and we’re proud to have delivered something truly special here 🤝

A slightly bigger project than our usual builds, and one we were delighted to be involved in. We recently completed this large Douglas Fir entrance structure for Dún an Rí Forest Park in Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, working alongside L.E Hasletts.

At this scale it certainly presented a few challenges we hadn’t come across before, but that’s all part of the job and it was great to see it come together. The finished result looks fantastic and should stand proudly welcoming visitors to the park for many years to come.

A few shots of a lovely 4.8 m × 1.6 m timber arbor we built recently. This one features a trellis on each end, perfect for creeping plants and climbing flowers to grow over and soften the space over time.

It’s a simple but really effective way to turn a plain side entrance into a proper feature in the garden.
