“Are online bidding platforms pushing house prices up?”

It’s a question we’ve been hearing a lot recently.

The reality is that estate agents are required to keep a full log of every offer on a property. From a PSA compliance and licensing point of view, all bids must be recorded.

One of the advantages of online bidding platforms is that they automatically create that record. Every offer is logged and can be downloaded as a report for transparency.

That said, we understand that online bidding can sometimes feel intense for buyers when bids come in quickly.

That’s why we use a hybrid approach.

We use online bidding for compliance and transparency, but we also stay in direct contact with buyers throughout the process to ensure bids are genuine and that everyone understands where they stand.

Buying a home is a big decision, and the bidding process should be clear, fair and properly managed.
