Solas Eco is an oasis of gardening, events, food and sustainability, and is located 5km from Heritage Village

In a previous life the site had been Ireland's largest steel fabrication works but is now a hub for the community with a shop, garden centre, cafe and food court as well as event spaces.

Solas hosts over 150 events a year from yoga to French festivals, plant swaps to clothes swaps, educational tours and gardening masterclasses!

Their café has an extensive menu and serves breakfast, brunch and lunch along with lite bites and pizzas

Work on the amenity building at the heart of our community is well under way!

When complete, the building will include a gym and exercise room, library, administration area, bistro, private consulting rooms and a private function room.

The amenities building is a community hub, a place to meet new neighbours and forge new friendships.

Exterior landscaping is currently in progress (between the rainy spells!) and the team is hard at work fitting out the interior of our community building for the benefit of all of our residents here at Heritage Village.

Heritage Village's Developer, Tommy Keane knew that there needed to be somewhere for the ageing population of Ireland to feel safe, secure and thrive in their later years.

Our community in Killenard was inspired by similar developments all over the world.

Tommy is the CEO of KARV Developments, who have delivered major projects in the Killenard area, including the €80 million Heritage Hotel, Golf Club and Spa. His experience ensures the village is developed with quality, care and long-term vision.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲
Maurice worked as a real estate agent on the Costa del Sol for 20 years. He felt inspired to get involved in Heritage Village after seeing a lack of alternative housing available to his mother when she received an Alzheimer’s diagnosis in 2011.
