In Ireland, it is entirely the buyer’s responsibility to do their own due diligence on the property they are buying. The vendor or estate agent do not have to disclose any information on defects or issues.

This is why it is vital you hire a great solicitor, a great surveyor and do as much research as you can on the house or area.
