As a Social Activist and District Youth President of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party Bandipora, I make this urgent appeal to the Assistant Drug Controller, District Bandipora. The people of Nowgam Sonawari are facing a severe health crisis due to the unethical and illegal medical practices of both illiterate and so-called literate individuals running medical shops in our village. These individuals, who are only authorized to sell medicines, are illegally acting as doctors, treating patients without proper medical qualifications or authorization. This reckless malpractice has been ongoing for the past 40 years, endangering countless lives and leading to the spread of new diseases in the area.
Despite the presence of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Nowgam Sonawari, many people continue to seek treatment from these unauthorized practitioners, resulting in serious health complications. I urge the concerned authorities to immediately investigate the PHC’s daily and monthly patient intake and assess why people are turning to unqualified individuals instead of registered medical professionals. With a population of 35,000, Nowgam Sonawari requires properly regulated healthcare services, not untrained individuals putting public health at risk.
I strongly urge the Assistant Drug Controller, District Bandipora, to take strict legal action against these unauthorized medical practitioners by seizing their shops, revoking their licenses, and thoroughly investigating their medical records. Additionally, a financial audit must be conducted to examine the wealth they have unlawfully accumulated through this illegal practice. It is crucial to determine how they have been operating without proper authorization and whether they have been illegally charging patients for medical consultations.
This is a direct threat to public health and safety that demands immediate intervention. As a responsible social activist and political representative, I will personally take up this issue with the concerned authorities in the coming days to ensure that this dangerous malpractice is permanently stopped. The health and well-being of the people of Nowgam Sonawari must not be compromised any further. Strict enforcement of the law is the only solution.
I also urge the general public of Nowgam Sonawari to avoid visiting these practitioners or taking any medicine without proper medical consultation. It is always safer to consult qualified doctors rather than relying on untrained individuals running unethical medical counters. Your health is invaluable, and only certified medical professionals should be trusted for treatment.
I request my friends and followers to share this post and comment with their valuable suggestions so that it reaches the concerned authorities and, most importantly, the general public of Nowgam Sonawari. Your support can help put an end to this life-threatening malpractice.
