As per the directions of Project Director, JKACS Dr. Abdul Rouf Bhat an orientation training programme was held virtually with the field staff of Jammu Division on index testing campaign and the reporting of the same on SOCH portal. The Project Director had a detailed interaction with the counsellors of different components of Jammu division. The PD stressed upon the need of being sensitive and ethical while counselling the PLHIVs and directed to work with zeal to achieve the objectives.The concerned incharge of the components at JKACS briefed the field staff about the objectives of Index testing and reporting of the same.

Awareness programme on HIV/AIDS, HIV/AIDS Act, 2017 and Drug Addiction was organized on 26/03/24 by the Superintendent, Central Jail, Srinagar in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society under the Guidance of Project Director, J&K AIDS Control Society, Dr. Abdul Rouf Bhat.
More than 150 inmates and others including general staff and the concerned health care professionals and representative from Saathi (NGO) attended the programme.

The programme remained successful and witnessed active participation of the inmates and others from medical fraternity etc.
Various issues concerning the Sexually transmitted infections were taken up by the concerned authorities and a few of them were addressed there and then.

The resource persons from J&K AIDS Control Ms. Sabiha Iqbal,Assistant Director Mainstreaming, Dr Lateef Charu, Senior Medical Officer and Mr. Javaid Jeelani Shah, Counselor imparted awareness to the participants on the basics of HIV/AIDS, HIV Act, 2017 and Drug Addiction and efficiently addressed the queries raised by the participants.

An awareness programme on the Basics of HIV/AIDS, HIV Act, 2017 and Drug Addiction was organized on 25.03.2024 by Traffic Police Srinagar in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society as per directions of the Project Director, J&K AIDS Control Society, Department of Health & Medical Education, Dr. Abdul Rouf Bhat.

The Programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest SSP Traffic Srinagar, Shri Muzaffar Ahmad Shah. The Presiding Officer Additional Superintendent of Police Traffic Srinagar, Shri Tariq Ahmad Wani presented the welcome address as well as vote of thanks to the participants. The speakers namely Mr. Khan Imtiyaz Ahmad, Assistant Director, Lab Services, Mr. Javaid Jeelani Shah, Counselor OST Centre at IMHANS and Ms. Sabiha Iqbal, Assistant Director Mainstreaming from J&K AIDS Control Society imparted awareness to the traffic police personnel ,drivers and association of drivers.
