FRENCH AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION, “GIFAS” DELEGATES VISITED MIHAN SEZ

A business delegate from France visited MIHAN project on Friday, 20th April 2018. The delegation include the members of French Aerospace Industries Association called, “GIFAS”. Mr. Michel Paskoff, Director General, Industrialisation of Dassault Aviation and Mr. Bertrand Lucereau, President of GIFAS SME's led the delegation. The program was jointly hosted by Maharashtra Airport Development Company Ltd. (MADC), Office of the Development Commissioner, MIHAN SEZ and Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd. (DRAL). The delegates were welcomed in Indian Traditional way at the entrance of Central Facility Building in MIHAN.The delegation includes the CEOs and officials of Aerospace Companies of France namely, AAA, ALTRAN, AXON, DEDIENNE AEROSPACE, FINAERO, GACHES CHIMIE, PARIS SAINT-DENIS AERO, SECAMIC, SEGULA, TRIGO, WEARE AEROSPACE etc. and was coordinated by DASSAULT Aviation, France, the manufacturer of world famous defence aircraft RAFALE and high end FALCON family business jets.
At the outset Mr. Suresh Kakani, IAS, VC&MD of MADC and Mr. S. S. Das, ITS, Development Commissioner, MIHAN SEZ welcomed all the delegates with floral bouquets and a memento. Mr. Sampatkumaran, CEO, DRAL, Mr. Jean Robert Luc, COO, DRAL, Mr.Vilas Kale, Ex. President VED, Mr. Devendra Parekh, President VED, Mr. Shivkumar Rao, Vice President, VED, Mr. S.V. Chahande, Advisor (Tech), MADC & Mr. S. K. Chatterjee, CE ,Mrs. Rajani Lonare, SE, MADC, Mr. Samir Gokhale, MM, MADC, Mr. C. Bankar, Sr. Architect, MADC, Mr. Deepak Joshi, PRO, MADC were also present at the occasion. A short movie on MIHAN was shown to them. Mr. Suresh Kakani, VC&MD, MADC, gave the detailed presentation on the Concept, Status, Facilities and Opportunities coming up for Aerospace Industries in MIHAN. Mr. S. S. Das presented the policies of SEZ, the procedures and the benefits of investing in MIHAN SEZ. Mr. Sampatkumaran, CEO of DRAL addressed the gathering and appealed the delegates to partner with DRAL for creating an Aerospace Ecosystem in MIHAN SEZ at Nagpur. Lt. Gen. Mr. Ravindra Thodge gave the presentation on the Defence Industrial Hub in Vidarbha. Mr. Bart D’souza, Head, Projects, Reliance Defence Ltd. gave the presentation on the Dhirubhai Ambani Aerospace Park coming up in MIHAN project Nagpur. MR. Deepak Joshi, PRO, MADC, conducted the proceedings.
Later all the dignitaries had an interactive session with MADC officials. All the members in the delegation showed keen interest about MIHAN project and told that lot of companies in France are willing to invest in India and particularly in Nagpur too. The MIHAN project has everything like good infrastructure, good facilities and an ideal location that an Aerospace industry looks for. The delegation was in Nagpur to study the opportunities of investments in Nagpur, particularly in MIHAN. The focus sectors are Aerospace and Aviation.
While talking to the MADC officials Mr. Daniel CHAFFRAIX, EVP, North America and India, ALTRAN, said that he is really excited to see the actual infrastructure development in MIHAN and Nagpur has all the potential to develop as an Aviation and Aerospace Hub very soon. The delegation also saw all the prominent companies in MIHAN and visited TAL industry, DRAL, link Taxiway and the project site of Turgis and Gilliard, an aerospace industry coming up soon in MIHAN.
