Some books change the way you work. Others change the way you think.

Here are 4 books worth making space for - whether you’re navigating difficult decisions, trying to work more effectively, looking for deeper focus, or building stronger teams.

Four books. Four different perspectives. One common idea: there’s always room to think, learn and work better.

Which one would you make space for first? Comment below.

The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz

For when the easy answer isn’t an option. A candid look at the realities of building, leading and making difficult decisions when there’s no perfect playbook.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen M. R. Covey

Because being busy isn’t the same as being effective. A reminder that meaningful productivity starts with the habits, priorities and choices that shape how we work.

Deep Work by Cal Newport

Make space for the work that matters. In a world full of distractions, this is a case for protecting your focus and giving your best work your full attention.

The Culture Code by Daniel Coyle

Because great teams are built, not found. A look at the behaviours, trust and connections that turn a group of people into a team that works well together.

At 11:40 on a Tuesday, the air conditioning fails. A client walkthrough is booked for two o’clock.

Admin troubleshoots the unit. IT checks the server room, same cooling loop. HR fields messages from a floor going warmer by the minute. Procurement checks the contract for an emergency callout.

Four functions. One failure. No one accountable.

This is what happens once an office goes live. Setup has an owner. Operations do not.

A managed workspace resolves this by design, not by decor. One operator, answerable for the room, the network running through it, and the person who repairs both. The accountability question has a single answer, for the life of the lease.

Because the workspace should reflect the ambition of the company inside it, not the fragmentation of the systems that run it.

The UrbanWrk Champions League brought together members from our Pune centres for a two-day football tournmament where Slack messages made way for sideline shouts and colleagues became teammates.

There were goals worth celebrating, saves worth remembering and enough competitive spirit to make Monday’s office conversations interesting.

Because community doesn’t only happen around a desk.

Sometimes, it happens over 90 minutes, a football match and a little friendly competition.

From site selection to design, ex*****on and ongoing operations, UrbanWrk partnered with Jamco Interiors to bring two new offices to life at MontClaire, Pune and PrimeCo Towers, Bengaluru.

Created around the needs of its teams, both workplaces are designed to support collaboration, everyday ease and Jamco Interiors’ continued growth in India.

The openings marked the completion of one phase and the beginning of another meaningful milestone, one we’re pleased to be a part of.

Your office can look brilliant in photos and still be exhausting to work from.

Because the details that shape your day are often the ones the camera misses. The acoustics. The airflow. The lighting at 4 p.m. The ease of finding a quiet corner, taking a call or simply stepping away for a few minutes.

These may not be the first things you notice when you enter a workspace. But over time, they become the things you feel most.

We unpacked what actually makes an office feel better to work from. Read more on the UrbanWrk blog. Link in bio.

Work today doesn’t just happen at a desk. It happens between meetings, voice notes, saved links, travel plans, language barriers, focus blocks, mood swings, and that one “quick call” that’s never ending.

So, for our first edition of WrkStack, we curated 10 phone-first apps that found their space in our workday.

Because the best work tools don’t always shout “productivity.” Sometimes, they simply help you notice more, plan better, pause sooner, focus longer, or end the day feeling slightly less like a browser with 46 tabs open.
