One of my favorite houses in San Francisco…

Built in 1917, this Buena Vista home is locally known as the “Holiday House” due to the elaborate seasonal decorations put on display each year.

Brick homes in general are rare to find in San Francisco because of the cost and poor resilience to earthquakes, but the owners have committed to preserving the charm and undergone seismic retrofitting to help support the structure.
