An interesting read and some amazing suggestions for house buying regions but we would strongly suggest they missed out a mention of , known as the 'cuore verde' or green heart of Italy!
Consider buying or moving here, arguably much better value than Tuscany but still boasting stunning landscapes, rich history, and slower pace of life it feels a little more 'real' here. Charming towns, great connections North and South, excellent food, and a lower cost of living compared to other parts of , Umbria offers a peaceful lifestyle, a strong sense of , and access to nature. We love it!

Jo, together with her partner, moved to where together they renovated an old and started renting out spaces, eventually becoming an . Nic came from Milano to join them during Covid, looking for a place to call home for a couple of years, perfecting her English, learning how to manage the olive trees, the renovation project and the hospitality business, ultimately leaving for a year to Amsterdam to work in hotels before returning to to settle.
