Every Site Visit reminds me why we do what we do

In 2023, Amboseli looked like a paradise.
The air was fresh, the land was fertile, and rain had blessed every corner.
Elephants grazed on lush plains, the swamps sparkled under the sun, and Mount Kilimanjaro stood tall framed by green beauty and harmony between nature and people.
You could feel life. You could feel balance.

But today… the story is different.
The once-green plains have turned brown.
The water sources are drying.
The winds now carry dust, not the scent of rain.
Wildlife is struggling, and even the communities that depend on this land are feeling the pain of climate change more deeply than ever.

Amboseli,and Kajiado at large are crying out.
The rains no longer come as they used to. Trees have been cut, the soil has lost its strength, and the balance of creation has been broken.

Yet, all is not lost.
Restoration is possible.
It begins with us.

We can:
1. Replant indigenous trees that hold the soil and invite rain.
2. Protect and harvest every drop of water through small dams and community water projects.
