I celebrate Naom Onyieni and Olpha Nyakoni, distinguished members of the KecomeX Business Club International through the Kehosa Women Network, for their remarkable commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation and professional excellence.

Through the Kehosa Regenerative Organic Farmers Co-operative Society Limited and its Kilimoville Regenerative Organic Agriculture Program, both Olpha and Naom are actively implementing climate-smart agriculture rooted in permaculture principles within an urban setup in Machakos County near Nairobi, despite ongoing water access challenges. Their resilience and practical leadership demonstrate how sustainable agriculture can thrive even in difficult environments.

Beyond agriculture, Olpha Nyakoni is also an entrepreneur in the automotive industry, while Naom Onyieni serves as a school director dedicated to education and youth empowerment. They are focused, disciplined and committed to productive work, innovation and community transformation. They both work smart and they have ZERO time to waste or watch TikTok Rubbish!

I am pleased to announce that both have officially registered to attend and exhibit at the upcoming KecomeX-Kehosa Foreign Direct Investment Strategy Summit 2026 scheduled for July 3–4, 2026 in Nairobi. The summit will be co-hosted by Kehosa Investments LLC, KecomeX Tours and Safaris, Democracy Institute, iTarget Media Communications, Kehosa Regenerative Organic Agriculture Center, Paxaterra Global and other strategic partners.

I highly recommend Olpha Nyakoni and Naom Onyieni to potential investors, development partners, agronomists and institutions interested in climate-smart agriculture, sustainable development, entrepreneurship and women-led innovation in Africa.

President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto joined Heads of State, Government officials, diplomats, investors, and distinguished global leaders for an official group photograph during the prestigious State Banquet held at State House, Nairobi, as part of the inaugural Africa Forward Summit 2026.

In recognition of Kenya’s growing leadership role on the continent, Kehosa Institute for Strategic Studies, Democracy Institute, iTarget Media Communications, and KecomeX Tours and Safaris proudly endorse Kenya as the strategic capital, gateway, and economic hub of Africa — a center for diplomacy, trade, innovation, tourism, and continental integration.

Consequently, on July 3rd–4th, 2026, during the highly anticipated KECOMEX–KEHOSA Africa FDI Strategy Summit 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, we shall officially unveil the Kehosa Foreign Direct Investment Center (KFDIC).

The KFDIC will serve as a premier continental platform dedicated to advancing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), tourism development, strategic partnerships, trade opportunities, policy dialogue, and sustainable economic growth across all 54 African countries.

This milestone initiative reflects a mission we have passionately championed for more than two decades since 2006 — promoting Africa’s immense investment potential, strengthening intra-African collaboration, and positioning the continent as a leading destination for global business, innovation, and cultural exchange.

The KECOMEX–KEHOSA Africa FDI Strategy Summit 2026 will convene policymakers, investors, business executives, development partners, tourism stakeholders, media leaders, and entrepreneurs from across Africa and around the world to explore transformative opportunities shaping the future of the continent.

Kehosa Investments LLC: Agricultural and Commercial Properties Options Portfolio in Mavoko Subcounty, Machakos County, near Kenya's capital city Nairobi and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport: Strategic land for agriculture and development in Mavoko, Machakos County, is highly sought after due to its proximity to Nairobi, excellent infrastructure, and high agricultural potential. Muthwani Ward is highlighted as a prime area offering a blend of rural tranquility and urban access, with arable land suitable for high-value crops like mangos, avocados, and French beans. The region is experiencing rapid growth, with property values rising by approximately 20% annually.

Key Strategic Locations in Mavoko

Muthwani Ward: Known for deep, fertile loamy soils (pH 5.5–7.5) and excellent for diverse farming, including dairy, poultry, and fruit farming. It is close to the Koma-Machakos Road and the proposed Greater Eastern Bypass.

Athi River Ward: Highly suitable for commercial development and residential projects due to its proximity to the SGR and Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

Kinanie Ward: A rapidly developing area suitable for both residential and commercial ventures.

Agriculture Potential
High-Value Crops: Suitable for Hass avocado, mangoes, French beans, and watermelons.

Agribusiness Opportunities: Opportunities exist for establishing feed manufacturing plants, fruit processing units, and agroforestry projects.

Development Drivers and Infrastructure

Connectivity: Close proximity to the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (7km away), and the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

Industrial Hub: Mavoko hosts major industrial facilities such as Savannah Cement, Portland Cement, and Bamburi Cement, which drives demand for residential and commercial land.

Rapid Development: The area is rapidly growing into an industrial, commercial, and residential hub, often referred to as "Nairobi's Bedroom".

Land Market Trends

Pricing: Land prices in Mavoko remain competitive. While 1/4 acre plots in prime areas can sell for KES 9-9.5 million, more affordable agricultural land is available in areas like Muthwani.

Appreciation: Property values are increasing at an estimated 15-20% annually.

Availability: Opportunities range from small plots (50x100 ft) to larger, multi-acre parcels suitable for large-scale agricultural projects.

Investment Considerations

Title Deeds: It is essential to ensure land has ready, clean title deeds.

Zoning: The Mavoko Integrated Strategic Urban Development Plan (2020-2030) guides zoning, and it is advised to check that agricultural investments are within appropriate zones to avoid conflict with rapid urban expansion.

Water Resources: Proximity to water for irrigation, such as from boreholes, is crucial for agricultural success.
