Gender-based violence (GBV), human rights violations, and children's needs are deeply interconnected crises. The effect of one crisis has a consequence on the other factors hence the need to provide a balance and sustainable mitigation measures.

GBV is a fundamental breach of basic rights, disproportionately affecting women and girls. When children are exposed to it, it severely impairs their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.

3.what are some of gender inequalities existing in your community?

Menstrual hygiene day . creating awareness on menstrual hygiene dignifies and builds confidence to adolescent girls and women at large since it breaks the stereotypes hence inclusiveness of society.
Periods are natural parts of life and women undergo this cycle be it regular or irregular , managing it with the right hygiene is important to your health.
*Points to take
-changing of sanitary towels after 4-6 hrs to prevent infections and rashes
- never use clothes
-dispose the used pad in a proper place e.g dustbin
-drink a lot of water ,rest well and eat a well balanced diet food
-debunk all the myths associated with menstrual hygiene
- be cautious of abnormal signs e.g unusual discharge,odor,fever or heavy bleeding (menorrhagia) .Incase you experience this seek medical intervention from a doctor/gynecologist

Today we partnered with Baraka health net and German doctors for Linda Binti project festival in korogocho .mentorship programs were done moreso on family planning and contraceptive and also economic empowerment beside that free service provisions e.g family planning was done

Lack of information, Early marriages, responsibilities and peer pressure are some of the barriers hindering young women from enrolling themselves for short courses / trainings .today we , together with dream winners cbo and Mugabe were foundation had an opportunity to have a community dialogue with young women and unpacked all those challenges and come up with healthy solutions for their betterment
