If you’ve been following world current affairs, you must have come across the B‑2 fighter jet.

This aircraft is not just a jet, it’s a masterpiece of military engineering, a ghost in the sky that defines what modern warfare looks like. The B‑2 Spirit, as it’s officially called, is arguably one of the greatest weapons ever built by man.

With its sleek flying-wing design and radar-evading technology, it can fly undetected into enemy airspace, drop its deadly payload, and vanish without a trace.

It’s not just powerful, it’s built for precision, designed for silence, and respected across continents. Yaani, it can visit Nairobi at 6 a.m. without the Kenyan government knowing, take a few selfies, and head back to America, only to post the pics 13 hours later.

Each jet costs nearly $2 billion, yaani around KSh 260 billion, and for good reason. The B‑2 can fly over 11,000 kilometers without refueling, carry both nuclear and conventional bombs, and operate in any weather, day or night. It’s the only aircraft in the world capable of delivering such destruction while being practically invisible to radar.

This morning, it reportedly struck targets in Iran, and the U.S. President had to issue a statement because Iran received bombs “from nowhere.”

When it takes off, the world pays attention. When it lands, it leaves behind a legacy of awe.

So yes, if you’ve seen it trending lately, it’s because the B‑2 is back in the spotlight, reminding the world that sometimes, the quietest things are the most powerful.
