UPDATE
Health CS Aden Duale announces new enhanced package on all registered SHA beneficiaries.
1. Expectant mothers will access free maternity services at Level 2 and 3 health facilities on a walk-in, walk-out basis under the new enhanced SHA packages.
2. SHA will reimburse facilities KES 10,000 for normal delivery & KES 30,000 for caesarean sections and essential newborn care.
3. The annual Cancer Benefits Package has been enhanced from KES 550,000 up to KES 800,000. This is supported by an increase in the Emergency, Chronic and Critical Illness Fund allocation for chronic illnesses from KES 150,000 to KES 400,000,
4. Holistic Oncology Consultations: Covered up to KES 2,500 per visit (includes access to oncologists, nutritionists, mental health support, and palliative care).
5. Treatment Administration: Chemotherapy administration at KES 5,500 and Radiotherapy at KES 3,600 per session for 30 sessions.
6. Advanced Diagnostics: CT scans at KES 6.900, MRI at KES 11,000, PET scans at KES 53,500, and PSMA scans at KES 64,200.
7. Specialized Therapies: Brachytherapy at KES 40,000 for three sessions, and SBRT/SBRS up to KES 70,000 for 5 sessions.
8. Supportive & Follow-up Care: Supportive care medicines up to KES 10,000, and remission follow-up care as per the Kenya Cancer National Treatment Protocols.
9. To further support patients with sickle cell disease, SHA has provided coverage for selected services, including apheresis platelets at KES 20,000 and Red Cell exchange at KES 70,000, each covered up to three times per policy period!!
