As part of our continuous engagement with stake holders from various parts of our region I also met a group of leaders from Muranga, Kirinyaga, Kiambu and Meru counties.

I listened to their views on how to involve community members in decision-making processes at local level as well as how to foster a sense of ownership & responsibility by mashinani people towards initiatives and policies that affect them. Very unique perspectives and insights were brought to the table by this team.

Today, I joined the Party Leaders Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper Democratic Movement) and Eugene Wamalwa of the Democratic Action Party of Kenya at the grand unveiling of the new DAP-K Party headquarters here in Nairobi.

I gave my commitment that we stand united under one common goal of delivering our people from oppression and dictatorship, and bringing back prosperity and democracy to our great nation.

We have shared values with DAP-K, including a passion for progress. We are also determined to create a New Kenya—one where every citizen is empowered and has the opportunity to thrive.

I therefore once again congratulate DAP-K for this significant step they have taken in the journey we are walking together, towards building a brighter future for all Kenyans. I look forward to the work we have to do together and with otter friends, to liberate Kenya and put it back in the path of progress.

The voice of the people is at the grassroots. Our constitution 2010 remains a gamechanger in the creation and empowerment of the MCAs, who at all times are the voice of the people.

In this call, I engaged at my Wamunyoro Residence the incredible MCAs from Murang'a County.

They have shared with me what the people of Murang'a County are saying in the villages we all belong to.

This forward-thinking mindset is essential as we aim to create sustainable solutions that will benefit generations to come.

The level of political intolerance and repression in our country is reaching unproportionate and alarming levels.

The gruesome and brutal murder of Richard Raymond Otieno of Molo- "Molo President" over the weekend is a clear testimony of another strategy of infusing fear among Kenyans in a pathetic and archaic strategy to silence government critics after failed abductions.

How can a great Nation like Kenya slip into trenches of a failed State where children and women have no breathing space?

To the family of Raymond Otieno and the people of Molo, I share in your pain and grief. My deepest sympathies to you all.

As we mourn the death of this promising young man, who was a great human rights defender and champion, we call for justice. His killers must be brought to book come what may. The Government of Kenya cannot afford to sit on the fence on this matter.

May God rest the Soul of Raymond Otieno in eternal peace and comfort his family and the people of Molo.
