Ah corn, easy to grow, tolerant to most climates, even Baby J could make it work 😂🌽. Not so easy for our UK garden 🫢. Sorry you can’t win everything. Still growing though 🦾.

Time to use your diy skills! Make a rectangle frame out of 2x2inch struts and then cover it with nice large mesh, fix 2 supporting legs to the corners. Grow your lettuce underneath it later in spring and start your cucumbers off at the base. They scamper up the frame and the fruits dangle through the mesh. They are easy to pick and don't fall prey to slugs, the lettuce meanwhile loves the shade and the cucumbers bask in the sun. Best of all you get 2 crops to one space.

Start your garden today! Even if it’s just 1 thing. Nature is so giving. Popping into the garden and getting some food is such a flex, even if it’s just one spring onion to add to your salad. Have a fun time in the garden guys!
