⛳️ A GREAT DAY FOR AN EVEN GREATER CAUSE! 💙

This past Friday, we had the pleasure of participating in the Kiwanis of Mount Dora Golf Scramble, helping raise money to support children right here in the Mount Dora community.

It was a beautiful day, a fantastic event, and an even better cause. We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate and support an organization that does so much for local children and families.

If they qualify, this program could provide assistance to help prevent eviction.

🇺🇸 Big News for VA Home Buyers!

The VA has updated several appraisal requirements to help make VA offers more competitive and reduce unnecessary closing delays.

Highlights:
✅ Radon requirement removed from VA appraisal standards
✅ Chipped/peeling paint on homes built after 1978 is generally considered cosmetic
✅ Less scrutiny on detached garages, sheds, and other outbuildings
✅ Simplified guidance for older homes and certain heating systems

What this means:
🏡 Fewer appraisal-related repair requests
⏱️ Smoother transactions
🤝 Stronger VA offers in today’s market

VA loans still require homes to be safe, sound, and sanitary, but these updates remove several outdated requirements that often created unnecessary hurdles.

🍿✨ Ending the school year with a little fun and a lot of appreciation! ✨🍿

Yesterday, High 5 Home & Craft and Duteau Realty, Inc. had the opportunity to sponsor a special end-of-year gathering for our local educators Triangle Elementary— complete with a popcorn bar and a custom-built bench giveaway.
