The day is finally here 🙌 Renovations started on Saturday!!!

We bought this house in August 2022. Took us a few weeks to get the game plan together and get everyone lined up for renovations. A few days before hurricane Ian was supposed to hit we were desperate to get a large tree removed, I was terrified it was going to fall on our house or a neighbors house. We had one company that could get it done before the hurricane would hit. Our only option was to have a crane removed it. The day started off well until a chunk that was probably too large was dropped through our house. So here we are 7 months later, we finally settled with their insurance a few weeks ago and our contractor is starting on repairing all of the structural damage 🙌🙌 can’t wait to see this transformation!!

Today is the day!! It’s been three and a half weeks since we closed and although we’ve been doing lots of behind the scenes planning, the renovations are starting!! They are cleaning up the hickory tree to make room to get the crane closer to the house to get that massive water oak tree sitting behind the house! Unfortunately it is dead and the roots are coming through our walls 🤯

We are so excited!

Yesterday’s Closing was a success! Everything went smooth, And I’m so blessed to have the opportunity to work with them!

Electrical will be finished tomorrow, we’re picking up appliances tomorrow, flooring will start tomorrow, countertops being delivered Wednesday, glass for the bathroom ordered, final touches hopefully done by the end of the week 😍 can’t wait to see it all finally come together!! The lighting in here is insane compared to before!!

I haven’t been able to post any updates because they work until 10pm every night and I’m always rushing out the door in the morning 🤣 but we’re so close for the first side to be done (like next week close 🤯)!!!! Anyone wanna help me pack up our side that I literally just unpacked 3 months ago so we can temporarily move other there while they do our side and then move it all back again?? 🤣 didn’t expect for all of this to happen so fast!
