#145 Stuart Mills - The Trap of Being Busy & The 5 Capitals of True Wealth
Stuart Mills; a strategist who has dedicated his career to navigating the complex intersection of large-scale technology, human talent, and social impact.
Stuart has a fascinating career path that began with the rigor of the British Royal Navy as an aeronautical engineer from Cambridge, leading high-pressure missions on the high seas. This ability to manage critical environments later led him to the global corporate world, where he distinguished himself as Vice President at Salesforce. There, more than managing a business unit, he built a true movement, training over a million people in digital skills and securing vital funding for the employment inclusion of refugees.
Today, Stuart is the founder of Practical Acts and author of the book: Wealth With A Why. Through his consultancy, he advises global organizations on building what he calls: ‘ethical resilience,’ transforming traditional business models into regenerative systems that restore people and their communities.
In addition, he is the creator of the Change-Maker Leadership Model and a member of the BMW Foundation’s Responsible Leaders Network, where he actively supports cross-sector collaboration to solve the world’s most urgent climate and social challenges.
