The Malaysia Association of Property Consumers (MAPC) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) dedicated towards the well-being of a wide range of property stakeholders in Malaysia and correspondingly, promoting and shaping a holistic landscape of property eco system that contributes to a more sustainable as

well as resilient lifestyle of the future generations. Recently established on 10 October 2023, MAPC will consistently play a pivotal role in addressing concerns and advocating for the rights of property consumers and stakeholders regardless of age, race, religion and ethnicity. Under the leadership of several seasoned professional experts and property practitioners, MAPC shall be at the forefront of initiatives aimed at promoting transparency, fairness and responsible governance in the realm of property consumerism as well as stakeholders and governing authorities towards a better and sustainable future.

POV: Kenapa duit harga jual rumah perlu didepositkan melalui akaun stakeholder milik firma peguam?
Jawapannya adalah, peguam perlu memastikan bahawa penjual tiada sebarang tunggakan bayaran cukai tanah & pintu, bil utilities dan maintenance fee yang perlu dibayar kepada pihak berwajib.
Jika ada tunggakan, Peguam boleh menggunakan duit stakeholder tadi untuk melunaskan segala tunggakan tersebut terlebih dahulu.
Namun, ada segelintir peguam yang tidak bertanggungjawab menyalahgunakan wang stakeholder tersebut untuk tujuan peribadi atau tujuan lain. Ini adalah SALAH di sisi undang-undang dan peguam tersebut boleh dikenakan tindakan tatatertib malahan boleh didakwa di Mahkamah kerana telah pecah amanah.
