A proposed comprehensive traffic masterplan - Shah Alam Traffic Master Plan 2035 (SATMAS) valued at RM25 million is set to be implemented by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) to alleviate traffic congestion in Shah Alam.
The master plan is divided into three phases of implementation: short-term (2025), medium-term (2030), and long-term (2035), to achieve world-class city status.
The plan includes filling the road gap between Bukit Jelutong and Bukit Cherakah and upgrading Persiaran Kewajipan to improve traffic flow. Additionally, 81 road intersections will be upgraded to optimise traffic flow at important crossroads and construct a 22.3 km middle-ring road during this phase.
